On a small hill in the heart of Alt Empordá, 7 kilometres from Figueres and 25 kilometres from the French border, a small town has spread its influence for centuries.

The capital of counts in Carolingian times, Peralada has preserved monuments and vestiges of its past importance, but also a way of still being alive today.
Made of narrow lanes, the city holds the attention by the strength of its monuments : the cloister of Sant Doménec, the convent of the Carmelites and obviously the castle of Peralada and its gardens.

Leisure and relaxation

Leisure at Peralada is the splendid casino in the castle, as much as the golf course or the internationally famous festivals, whether classical music or jazz.
