Spaces of intense sporting activities, a frenetic night life, long excursions or short walks... Portbou is the unspoilt environment, the peace of a small town hidden at the bottom of a hollow, the long tradition of welcome of the frontier towns. Like many of them, Portbou resisted thoughtless and destructive economic attraction, implementing property development in Spain in the framework of the law.
All year this small port provides a welcome of human dimensions. Even in the tourist season, the city and its beaches are not crowded. Marked by a difficult recent past, it was the site of the last battle of the Spanish civil war. The town drew from this a philosophy of life based on simple pleasures and respect for others. A crossing point between two worlds, it has that undeniable charm of frontiers but also of the confrontation of spaces, of the sea and the mountains
allow you long underwater explorations, but also the peace of small beaches and creeks sometimes only accessible on foot.
From Portbou, visitors can also go to the natural reserve of Cape Creus, the neo-Gothic church of Santa Maria and everything concerning water and underwater sports.
Portbou is a small, recently constructed marina with about three hundred mooring rings
